Three days pair Morocco's oldest imperial city with its most photographed one. Guests are collected from a Casablanca hotel or the airport, driven north-east to Fez for a guided day through the medina, then on to Chefchaouen for the blue alleys, the kasbah and the viewpoints over the Rif. The return runs by way of Rabat for the Hassan Tower, the Oudayas kasbah and the Mohammed V mausoleum. Two nights in traditional riads, breakfasts, tolls, fuel and the Fez entrance fees are all included.
The driver collects guests from the hotel lobby or the airport at 8:30 AM. Luggage is stowed and the road north-east towards Fez begins.
A licensed historian walks guests through the medina's madrasas, tanneries and souks, with entrance fees already covered. The pace leaves room for the workshops as well as the monuments.
A night in the city, with accommodation included and the medina a short walk away.
Duration: 1 night
The drive climbs into the Rif foothills to the blue city, where a local guide leads a walk through the painted alleys, the kasbah gardens and up to the viewpoints.
A riad inside the old town, close enough to catch the medina in the quiet hours after the day-trippers leave.
Duration: 1 night
The return stops in the capital for the unfinished Hassan Tower, the ochre walls of the Oudayas kasbah above the river, and the Mohammed V mausoleum.
A brief photo stop at the mosque on the Atlantic before the final drop-off. Interior entrance is not included.
