An afternoon and evening in the capital, built around monuments first and a proper Moroccan table last. The route covers Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Roman and Merinid ruins at Chellah, then loosens into an unhurried hour in the souks at Bab El Had among spice sacks, textiles and silverwork. Dinner follows at Dar Naji, a restored riad known for cooking the classics properly, before the drive back to Casablanca.
