Casablanca rewards the long day out of Marrakech: three hours north, the red city gives way to Morocco's white-walled commercial capital, where French-era Art Deco facades stand a short walk from the vast Hassan II Mosque rising straight out of the Atlantic. Guests step inside the mosque with entry arranged in advance, then move through the arcades of the Habous quarter, the civic squares and the central market before the drive back. It is a full sweep of the city's landmarks in one well-paced day, with every logistic handled.
The road north crosses the Rehamna plains and settles into an easy run to the coast. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi on board for the journey.
