An hour south of Marrakech the road begins to climb and the valleys narrow into terraced villages built from red earth. The day is spent in Berber country: tea poured in a family home, around forty-five minutes of guided walking on village trails to a waterfall, and lunch at a local restaurant in the valley. Transport is by air-conditioned car, van or 4WD depending on the route, with a multilingual driver-guide throughout and a return to your hotel by late afternoon.
A welcome into a mountain family's home, where the tea is poured from height and the customs behind it are explained. A close look at how these valleys have lived for generations.
A guided walk on village paths between walnut trees and irrigation channels, climbing gently to the waterfall. A local guide leads the route.
