Agafay is stone desert rather than sand — a pale, lunar spread of hills less than an hour from Marrakech, with the snowline of the High Atlas along the horizon. Guests reach camp in the late afternoon, drive out across the ridges, then settle in as the light turns copper over the hills. Dinner is Moroccan and served under the stars, with Gnawa musicians, fire or folkloric dance performing alongside.
